The Fayetteville Woodpeckers went home winners at Segra Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Chris Maestretti. Maestretti stifled the Visalia Rawhide, enabling Fayetteville to grab the 2-0 win. The win makes Fayetteville 28-25.

The Woodpeckers had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Fayetteville. But Visalia, with a runner on 1st, had mounted a threat. Devin Haley dug in at the plate. But on a 1-1 fastball, Haley grounded out.
