Winston-Salem Dash starter Danny Murillo pitched a strong game against the Stockton Ports at BB&T Ballpark, leading the Dash to victory, 4-2. Marc Lichty snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit over 1.2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. Joe Balfour closed out the game, earning his 5th save.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when right fielder Danny Ferlise, who is tied for 4th in the CC in stolen bases with 15, hit a single. The Dash went on to win.
Murillo said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
The loss makes Stockton 22-25.
