Giants Lose to Hillcats in Walk-Off
San Jose right fielder Sean Aucoin had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Lynchburg in 10 innings. Aucoin went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Jonathan Koester, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Lynchburg goes to 21-24, San Jose to 28-17.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 21-year old center fielder Ernesto Salazar had a chance to be the hero. San Jose pitcher Mike Newberg had other ideas. But with one out, Salazar hit a sacrifice fly. The Hillcats had themselves a dramatic win.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped San Jose manager .
