The Stockton Ports beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 9-4, at Banner Island Ballpark. Stockton right fielder Sean Ericksen collected 2 singles and 2 doubles with 4 runs batted in. Stockton reliever Roger Ortega picked up the win to move to 2-0. Jima Kitunzi suffered the loss. With the loss, Myrtle Beach sinks to 14-12.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Ericksen hit a bases-clearing double off Jima Kitunzi. It propelled the Ports into the lead, 6-3.

"I had a good game," said Ericksen. "Winning makes it even better."
