Visalia beat Stockton at Banner Island Ballpark, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Jarod Gates. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. The winner was Visalia reliever Pat Wilson, now 2-1. The loser was Victor Pena. Stockton falls to 6-20.

Visalia used the clutch hitting of Steve McVicker to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rawhide ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
