Fredericksburg Wins 7-4 to Continue Red-Hot Start
|
Danny Chicas was locked in. The right-hander led the Fredericksburg Nationals to a 7-4 win against the Winston-Salem Dash at BB&T Ballpark. Chicas got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Fredericksburg, at 12-3, is off to a blistering start.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Chris Muratori? The Fredericksburg center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Nationals on top, 3-1. For the game, Muratori had 1 double and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
"Danny was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Fredericksburg manager .
