The rain did not keep Modesto and Lancaster from finishing their game.

The Modesto Nuts got a good effort from starter Abel Bon in defeating the Lancaster JetHawks at The Hangar. The final score was 5-1. After losing, Lancaster is 9-3.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Wei-hong Au? The Modesto third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Nuts on top, 2-1. For the game, Au had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Nuts manager , "I like our chances."
