Mezzo Delivers Walk-Off Win for Sod Poodles
The Amarillo Sod Poodles downed the Arkansas Travelers, 10-8, at Hodgetown. The Sod Poodles were led by Ron Quinn. Quinn went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kevin LePera, now 3-8, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The Sod Poodles now have a record of 43-74.

Amarillo got a clutch hit from Pat Mezzo. The catcher launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
