ValleyCats Get Thrilling 4-3 Win
|
The Tri-City ValleyCats trumped the Brooklyn Cyclones, 4-3, in 10 innings. Tri-City center fielder Zach Stofan was impactful. He went 2 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks. With the win, Tri-City has a record of 33-23. Brooklyn falls to 37-19.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when catcher Dylan Young, who is tied for 10th in the NYP with a .492 slugging percentage, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The ValleyCats went on to win.
"The crowd was juiced," said Stofan.
