Despite a great performance by Auburn second baseman Alan Ozuna, the Reading Braves defeated the Doubledays by the score of 8-5 at Falcon Park. Ozuna went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reading is 4th in the New York-Penn League South Division with a record of 30-27.

In the top of the first, the Braves took the lead, 2-0, when 22-year old third baseman Jerry LaVoie drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
