Hudson Valley Claims 9-4 Victory
The Hudson Valley Renegades topped the State College Spikes, 9-4, in New York-Penn League action at Dutchess Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hudson Valley pitcher Mario Crespo. Crespo yielded 2 runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-7. Hudson Valley currently is in last place in the New York-Penn League North Division at 19-37.

Randy Spangler was 1-2 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Hudson Valley. The 18-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris Scott. It was his 5th walk of the season.

"Mario was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Hudson Valley manager .
