Diaz Smacks 5 Hits for Yankees
|
The Lowell Spinners couldn't stop Luis Diaz, but they stopped the Staten Island Yankees, 6-2. Diaz went 5-for-5 in the game at Edward A. LeLacheur Park, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score.
"I feel bad for Luis -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Staten Island manager . "The Spinners were on their game today."
Luis Diaz hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
