Sea Unicorns Topple Renegades, 6-1, as Vervoort Shines
Josh Vervoort made an impact in the 6-1 Norwich win over Hudson Valley. Vervoort, who is tied for 4th in the NYP in doubles with 8, went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Norwich reliever Victor Velazquez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tony Benitez absorbed the loss. The Sea Unicorns move to 27-17 with the win, while the Renegades drop to 13-31.

With Norwich leading 3-0 in the top of the second, Vervoort batted against Hudson Valley pitcher Tony Benitez. Vervoort hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Sea Unicorns on top, 6-0.
