Spirited fans greeted the State College Spikes for their clash with the Norwich Sea Unicorns.

The Norwich Sea Unicorns beat the State College Spikes, 6-2, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The Sea Unicorns got a fine performance from designated hitter Steve Bauer, who went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. So far in 2058, Norwich is 19-26.

It could have been a different outcome for Norwich, had it not been for Serge Fischer, the 21-year old shortstop . Fischer contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Norwich up, 3-0.

"We played hard and won," said Bauer. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
