Streaking Yankees Win Another One, 7-3
|
Ted Ray impressed in the 7-3 Staten Island win over Brooklyn. Ray went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. The winner was Manny Castillo in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Israel Gonzalez took the loss. The Yankees boast a remarkable 30-6 record.
It could have been a different outcome for Staten Island, had it not been for Chris Hanson, the 21-year old shortstop . Hanson contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Staten Island up, 4-2.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Staten Island manager .
