Penfold Leads Crosscutters to Win
Behind a fine performance from Kade Penfold, the Williamsport Crosscutters knocked off the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 7-2. Penfold was 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Crosscutters. Jim Henley was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded no runs on 2 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. The win puts Williamsport at 6-11.

With Williamsport leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Penfold came up to bat against Aberdeen pitcher Manny Melendez. Penfold hit a fastball to left for a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Crosscutters on top, 4-0.
