Ironbirds Earn Win with Late Rally
The Aberdeen Ironbirds used the hitting of center fielder Tony Encinas to subdue the West Virginia Black Bears, 4-3. For the game, Encinas was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Sean Peach was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Edgar Ochoa. Early on, the Ironbirds, at 9-3, have played an impressive brand of baseball.

Encinas had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 slider from Edgar Ochoa, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Ironbirds a 4-1 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Encinas.

"It's going to click," said West Virginia manager . "It's just a matter of when."
