Crosscutters Rally to Tally 4-3 Win
|
The Williamsport Crosscutters put one in the win column with an opening day 4-3 triumph over the Staten Island Yankees. The crowd at Bowman Field watched Eric League put on a fine performance.
Jon Portera chipped in for Williamsport, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-3 with a double.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Portera told the Williamsport Chronicle.
