Juarez Jacks Two Home Runs in 6-1 Staten Island Win
|
Edward Juarez, who is rated as the 58th best prospect by BNN, knocked in all 6 runs for the Staten Island Yankees, helping them beat the Norwich Sea Unicorns, 6-1. The loss makes Norwich 1-3.
With Staten Island leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Juarez came up to bat against Norwich pitcher Israel Gutierrez. Juarez hit a slider to center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Yankees on top, 6-1.
"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Juarez.
