The Vermont Lake Monsters topped the Albany White Sox by a score of 9-6. Leading the way was third baseman Cremente Caffrey. Caffrey was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Lake Monsters. Billy Bowers snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Gilberto Castellano suffered the loss. Vermont, now 3-1, is setting the league on fire so far.

In the bottom of the sixth, Caffrey put his team in front with his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Gilberto Castellano, made it 7-6, Vermont.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Caffrey.
