Spigelman Shackles Texas in 6-1 Cardinals Win
|
Kevin Spigelman pitched a masterpiece in helping St. Louis triumph over the Texas Rangers, 6-1. At 38-22, the Cardinals claim first place in the National League South.
Spigelman, the winner, is now 6-2, after putting the clamps on the Texas offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up no runs on 1 hit, while collecting 5 Ks.
"Kevin has got a slow heartbeat," said St. Louis manager Daniel LeSieur. "He doesn't panic or anything."
