The Houston Astros topped the Kansas City Royals, 7-6, at Daikin Park. Houston first baseman Jon Mejia was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Lee Otway was the winner. He's now 11-10. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Kasica. The Astros improved their record to 80-82 with the win over Kansas City.
Early in the game, Mejia had a 3-run home run for Houston. It was his 29th home run of the season and put the Astros on top, 3-0.
