Big Day for Mack as Marlins Down Mets, 8-7
The New York Mets inaugurated the 2028 campaign with a disappointing 8-7 loss to the Miami Marlins at Citi Field. Miami catcher Joe Mack had a big impact on the outcome. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Josh Ekness collected his 1st save.

Early in the game, Mack had a 3-run home run for Miami. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Marlins on top, 3-0.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Marlins manager Fun Guy.
