Astros Edge Past Angels, 3-2
|
The Houston Astros had to overcome a good performance from Los Angeles pitcher Tanner Bibee to claim a 3-2 win at Daikin Park. Bibee went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Houston reliever Tyler Owens snagged the win, upping his record to 5-2. Blake Treinen shouldered the loss. Houston, at 82-69, holds down second place in the American League West Division.
Isaac Paredes was the walk-off hero for Houston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Astros third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We did enough to win," said Paredes.
