The Maracaibo Independientes met their match today in Coro hurler Alfie Fraser. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 5-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," Maracaibo skipper Baldomero Neave said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."
In the 6-0 victory, Fraser whiffed 1 and gave up 2 walks.
This season, Fraser has compiled a 18-9 record with a 1.97 ERA.
