Sultanes, Santillán Buzz Heroes, 2-0 Tuesday, October 16th , 1906 Baldovino Santillán of the Caracas Sultanes was on fire against the Guatire Heroes at Estadio de Guatire. He shut them out, 2-0, on 3 hits, collecting no strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Santillán said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
