Maldonado Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, August 24th , 1907 The Morovis Excepciones fell to the Cidra Sabaneros in Parquecito de Morovis, even as 21-year-old second baseman Generoso Maldonado upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Maldonado finished with 1 hit in 2 at-bats, but could not stop the Excepciones from dropping the 4-3 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Maldonado. Generoso Maldonado singled in the 1st and grounded out in the 4th.
