Luján Tags Ciudadanos for 5 Hits Saturday, August 19th , 1905 After a 5-hit effort to lead Catano's 5-0 victory over the San Juan Ciudadanos, center fielder Matías Luján told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Liga Veraniega de Principiantes-level is really something special." The 22-year-old player earned his accolades at Parquecito de San Juan with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Ciudadanos. "His swing is getting there," said Canoneros skipper Cirilo Mireles, who spoke glowingly of Luján after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Matías did that to perfection." Matías Luján doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Abejundio García in the 9th.
