Garza and Fariñas Fight, Get Suspended Saturday, August 19th , 1905 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Ponce-Maricao contest at Parquecito de Ponce. The Hidalgos Marco Garza and the Ristretti Natanael Fariñas will have to sit out 3 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Garza is hitting .308 for the season with 16 home runs, 63 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 88 hits in 286 at-bats and played in 90 games. This year, Fariñas has worked 120.2 innings with 56 strikeouts en route to a 6-7 record and 4.77 ERA. |
