Players Suspended in Principes-Idiofonos Donnybrook Thursday, August 17th , 1905 After an intense confrontation, both the Principes Esteban Ramírez and the Idiofonos Darío Madrid were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Juana Diaz-Penuelas game. Esteban Ramírez will miss 3 games, while Darío Madrid was suspended for 5 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Esteban Ramírez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the year, Ramírez has hit at a .133 clip with 23 RBIs, 6 home runs and 23 runs scored. To date this year, Madrid has compiled a 9-12 mark with a 6.01 ERA in 23 starts. |
