Hydropathists Officially Fire Tavera as Skipper Thursday, October 25th , 1906 When your team is not doing well, what does a general manager do? You can't fire the team or fire yourself, so you go to the next thing on the list -- fire the manager. That's exactly what Oswego Hydropathists GM Quinteros did today -- he fired manager Casto Tavera. In the press conference, the Hydropathists GM pulled out all the usual cliches about why change was needed. He also praised Tavera in glowing terms and said he would remain a vital part of the Oswego organization. As far as firings go, this was a harmonious parting. |
