Maxwell at His Best, Whips Half Moons Monday, July 17th , 1905 Danny Maxwell was in a mood to talk following the Irondequoit Peach Kings contest against the Utica Half Moons, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Half Moons, 2-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Maxwell said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The right-hander blanked Utica on a 4-hitter, allowing no walks and racking up 5 strikeouts. This season, Maxwell has 6 wins and 7 losses and a 1.49 ERA.
