Griffin Beguiles Templeton Monday, August 20th , 1906 Everything clicked on the hill for Jack Griffin, as he hurled the Falmouth Submersibles to a shutout win, 3-0, over the Templeton Red Onions, limiting them to 4 hits while recording 5 strikeouts and yielding no walks. He overpowered some batters with fastballs and buckled knees with sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," Red Onions manager Adelino García said.
