Brown Tosses 3-0 Shutout

In a remarkable performance, New Haven Regicides starter Mordecai Brown beat the Stamford Locksmiths, 3-0, in an impressive 8-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Regicides hurler finished with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Stamford manager MatÃas Ortega said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This year, Brown has registered 13 wins and 5 losses in 18 starts with a 2.40 ERA while registering 102 strikeouts and 32 walks in 161.1 innings.
