New Haven Advances to Round 2 Friday, October 2nd , 1903 After winning the MVP of the Round 1, New Haven hurler Adam Dixon said he is focused on putting forward another strong performance in the Round 2. "I feel great on the mound right now, it's hard to explain," said the New Haven Regicides pitcher, who played a big role in his team eliminating the Templeton Red Onions. "All I know is I want this to continue." New Haven won the final game by a 1-0 count and the series 4-2. Dixon had a 0.47 ERA over 19 innings pitched, with a 1-1 record. "We didn't do enough to win, it's as simple as that," said Templeton manager Adelino García. The New Haven Regicides will play against the Providence Gems in the next round.
