San Marcos Wins Pennant Championship Series Thursday, October 3rd , 1907 The Pennant Championship Series didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the San Marcos Cadavers are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the San Angelo Killer Cacti 4-2 to advance to the Championship of the Frontier. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Cadavers first baseman Pablo González. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." San Marcos won the final game by a score of 5-3 at Cadavers Park. González was named series MVP after hitting .375 with a .423 on-base percentage. He also had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The San Marcos Cadavers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Taos Artists - Tempe Olympians series. Taos leads the series 3 games to 2.
