Taos Shuts Out Albuquerque, 15-0
Wednesday, August 1st , 1906
All went well for Ramón Pagán of the Taos Artists as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 15-0, over the Albuquerque Dukes, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Pagán on the day.
"Ramón's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Artists manager Mateo Avina. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Taos right-hander rang up 4 and surrendered 3 walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Dukes manager Troilo Gallegos. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
So far this season, Pagán has a 10-6 record with a 2.79 ERA.
