Campuzano Shines, Shuts Out Galveston, 3-0 Sunday, August 27th , 1905 It wasn't easy but Jorge Campuzano made it look that way. Campuzano silenced the Galveston Gulls, 3-0, in a Beaumont Alpinists triumph at Gulls Field. Despite the appearance of dominance, Campuzano said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." This year, Campuzano has worked 222 innings with 95 strikeouts en route to a 18-9 record and 2.68 ERA.
