Centeno Grabs FBL-EA Hurler of the Year Friday, October 28th , 1904 Darío Centeno had a terrific 1904 season in the Eastern Association. The San Angelo pitching stalwart received the most votes and has been proclaimed this year's Hurler of the Year winner. The Killer Cacti ace starred with an impressive 29-7 record. In 33 starts, he gave up 264 base hits and struck out 185 in 306.2 innings with a 2.14 ERA. Opposing teams hit .225 against him. He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Loquillo Martínez of the Tyler Pecan Kings finished second in voting, while Marcos Guevara of the San Marcos Cadavers finished third.
