Tuesday, November 3rd , 1903
A baseball manager's success usually depends on the talent of his club, but in the case of Eduardo Galarza, he seems to have taken the Santa Fe Hollyhocks to a higher level and gotten his just due. He was named this season's Manager of the Year in the Western Association for leading the team to a very rewarding season.
"Everyone on the team put in a lot of hard work this season," he told reporters. "It's always nice when it's acknowledged in some way."
Galarza led Santa Fe to a first place finish in the Western Association Santa Fe Circuit. The Hollyhocks ended up with a 82-50 record.
