Hollyhocks Move on to Championship of the Frontier Saturday, October 10th , 1903 The Santa Fe Hollyhocks are bound for the Championship of the Frontier. A 11-2 win over the Tucson Highwaymen at Santa Fe Stadium ended the Pennant Championship Series, 4-2. "We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Luis Santiago. "This could be the biggest celebration Santa Fe has ever seen if we can win the Championship of the Frontier." The state of the Frontier Baseball League championship remains in doubt, but the Hollyhocks certainly appear to be strong contenders. Santiago was named MVP of the Pennant Championship Series after he posted a .500 batting average, while adding 0 home runs, driving in 3 RBI and scoring 9 runs. The Santa Fe Hollyhocks will play against the San Angelo Killer Cacti in the next round. San Angelo won their series against the Nacogdoches Roaches 4 games to 3.
