León Fires Shutout in Wichita Falls Victory Friday, August 21st , 1903 Íñigo León of the Wichita Falls Yardmen was on fire against the Prescott Lynx at Yardmen Park. He shut them out, 1-0, on 7 hits, collecting 1 strikeout and allowing 5 walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," León said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
