Larkman Out; Given Walking Papers by Magnets
Tuesday, November 15th , 1904
It came as no surprise when Lynwood Larkman was fired from his post as the manager of the Moncton Magnets, not even for the man himself.
Speaking to reporters minutes after being informed of his termination, Larkman said, "It's no big shock I guess, but it still hurts. Nobody ever likes to be told they can't do a job they love anymore."
Larkman was a fan favorite and much-heralded for being a player's manager, team general manager said. "At the end of the day baseball is about what happens between the lines. We'd love to have kept a quality baseball man like Lynwood in the Moncton organization, but he felt it was better to move on."
