Murphy Tosses 1-0 Shutout Friday, September 15th , 1905 Rob Murphy subdued the Cork Salmon, 1-0, pitching a 4-hit gem for the Limerick Gandelows at Salmon Stadium. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Limerick skipper Barclay Cummings said. Murphy registered 6 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Cork manager Neil Steadman after the defeat. To date, Murphy has a 19-10 mark in 31 starts with a 2.44 ERA.
