Garraway Tosses 4-0 Shutout Monday, August 31st , 1903 Robert Garraway of Swansea easily handled the Newport Stevedores, stopping them on 4 hits and chucking a complete-game 4-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said Newport manager Andrés Apodaca. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." He finished the game with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing. This year, Garraway has a 14-13 record with a 3.39 ERA.
