Anasco Draws Blanks Against Rivera Thursday, September 19th , 1907 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Anasco Matadioses as starter Cándido Rivera shut them out, 4-0, at Jardines de los Matadioses. The Fajardo pitcher struck out 1 and walked 1 while allowing 5 hits. "Rivera was good but he wasn't flawless," Anasco manager Zacarías Robles said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Fajardo, but this is on us." This year, Rivera has compiled a 18-12 mark with a 2.01 ERA.
