Negrete Records Shutout Against Golondrinas Friday, August 10th , 1906 Menandro Negrete had an impressive outing at Parque de las Golondrinas, hurling the Toa Alta Poetas to a 1-0 shutout victory over the San German Golondrinas. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," San German skipper Bob Blakiston said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do.
