García Tosses Shutout Against Marcianos Friday, July 27th , 1906 In an excellent mound performance, Rubén García of the Maunabo Artilleros blanked the Lajas Marcianos, 2-0, on a 4-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Maunabo hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Marcianos manager Nicasio Carrillo. "García did a good job keeping us guessing." To date this season, García has registered 25 starts, 15-10 won-lost mark, 2.38 ERA, 204.1 IP, 63 strikeouts and 34 walks. Opposing teams have hit .252 against him.
