Alonzo Hurls Shutout
Friday, May 11th , 1906
Culebra Tortugas pitcher Agamenón Alonzo blanked the Corozal Mofongueros, 2-0, at Coliseo Paulino Soto, tossing a 7-hitter while issuing 3 walks and collecting 1 strikeout.
After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club.
"I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Alonzo said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
This season, Alonzo has a 5-3 record with a 2.50 ERA.
