LB's #1 Starter is Rodríguez Saturday, August 1st , 1891 The Pitcher of the Month Award in July has been selected and the Liga Betances honor went to Cabo Rojo hurler, Juan Rodríguez. For his excellent performance he has been named the league's top pitcher. During the month, Rodríguez was superb with a 0.96 ERA and 8 wins and no losses. In 75 innings he struck out 35 and gave up 48 hits and 15 walks. This year Rodríguez has fanned 163 in 282 innings and collected a 23-8 record with a 1.69 ERA. |
